Storytime at St. Paul

In this weekly storytime hosted every Wednesday, preschoolers will develop a love for reading by learning easy rhymes, repeating phrases, exploring story props, and strengthening comprehension, together! Books from our collection will be carefully selected to help bring the learning home. This is a drop-in program. No registration is required.

Alzheimer Society Social Café

The Alzheimer Society’s Social Café is a welcoming space offered weekly where persons living with dementia and their care partner can socialize, build support networks and enjoy dementia friendly activities together. Please call 1-800-565-4614 ext. 421 to register. Once registered you can drop in as many times as you like.

Crossroads Youth Drop-In Space

Crossroads Youth Drop-In Space is for youth aged 13-19, held at the Library's Main Branch. Homework Help (Grades 3 - 8)

4:00 PM | 173 Colborne Street

Students in Grades 3 through 8 will be paired with a university student volunteer from the Laurier Students for Literacy Club for assistance with any subject. The program will run Monday to Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Main Branch. The fall session of Homework Help begins on October 1 and ends on November 28. Please note there will be a break in Laurier Students for Literacy programming from October 14 to October 17. Programming resumes on October 21. Email lsflclub@gmail.com to register.

Book Buddies (Grades 2 - 6)

Struggling readers, Grades 2 to 6, will be paired with a university student volunteer from the Laurier Students for Literacy Club to work on reading, writing, and worksheets.The program will run Monday to Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Main Branch. The fall session of Book Buddies begins on October 1 and ends on November 28. B United Kick-off

Come celebrate the kickoff of B United, Brantford’s Healthy Kids initiative that considers the diversity within our community. Join your neighbors in celebrating the diversity of Brantford!

That night, Brantford Public Library is hosting Learn to Code for Kids: register in advance, online, for this awesome opportunity!

Learn to Code for Kids

Join us for a learn to code program designed for kids aged 10+.  Led by a volunteer from McMaster University, participants will learn to create digital objects, and bring them to life with fun using code. Perfect for young minds eager to explore the world of coding!  Registration is required.
