Bell City Strummers

2:30 PM | 173 Colborne Street

Tune your ukulele and join us twice a month for 90 minutes of music, song, and fun! Everyone 16+ is welcome.

This group starts with beginner-level material and more advanced players will enjoy opportunities for harmony or solos. No matter how much (or how little) experience you have, you’ll build your skills and a repertoire for playing and performance.

Registration is not required, but new members should email Robin at rharding@brantfordlibrary.ca to introduce themselves and for a brief orientation. A limited number of ukuleles and music stands will be available to borrow.

About Catherine and Genevieve:  Catherine Gorecki and Genevieve Rochette have been playing and teaching together for over a decade.  They led the Dufferin Ukulele Ensemble at Ecole Dufferin School, performing at the Kiwanis festival and on the Sanderson Centre Stage.  In March 2023, they traveled together to Banos, Ecuador, completing a long-awaited project to teach ESL through singing and playing ukulele at the St. George Centro de Nivelacion.  Gen and Catherine have both trained with James Hill’s Ukulele in the Classroom series, Level 3.  They teach private lessons at home for students of all ages.
