For writers 55+, this biweekly program combines socialization with discussion about various aspects of the craft of writing, engaging activities, and the opportunity to share and review some of your work in a non-judgmental, supportive environment. How To Tell Stories: Tips, Techniques, and Telling Tales

Whether coaxing your kids to sleep at night, sitting around a campfire, or pitching an idea at work, it pays to be a persuasive and engaging storyteller. Join instructor Carol Goff Steedman (Brant Story Time Entertainers) for five progressive workshops, where you'll learn the skills to make yourself a master storyteller. Themes will include Circle of Life, Morals and Lessons, Fairy Tales, The Senses, and Myths. Registration required.

Tween Tuesdays

Join us each week for an exciting program where you can: Create & Build - work on awesome projects and let your imagination run wild! Play & Hangout - enjoy games, chat about your favourite books, or just chill with friends. Ages 9-12. This is a drop-in program.

Canada Connects: English Conversation Circles

Canada Connects provides newcomers with informal support, helping them enhance their spoken language skills. Volunteer facilitators organize conversation circles along specific social themes that are discussed in each session. These conversation groups provide newcomers and volunteers the opportunity to meet other newcomers, share experiences, socialize, and make new friends. Learn to Crochet

Curious about crochet? Learn the basic stitches and skills of crochet in this beginner program. We’ll provide everything you need. Please note this program is for adults only. Registration opens on March 23.

Storytime at St. Paul

In this weekly storytime hosted every Wednesday, preschoolers will develop a love for reading by learning easy rhymes, repeating phrases, exploring story props, and strengthening comprehension, together! Books from our collection will be carefully selected to help bring the learning home. Ages 18 months to 4 years. This is a drop-in program.

Get Ready for Kindergarten: Session 2 (March - April)

Preschoolers ages 3-5, will enjoy this 6-week-long, kindergarten readiness program, with a focus on social skills and independence! The weekly program's length is 45 minutes. Parents & caregivers must remain in the Library while children participate independently in the program. 3-5 years old and must be entering kindergarten (JK or SK) in September 2026. Register ONCE for this 6-week session. Registration opens on March 11.

Coffee Tasting with Altitude Coffee Roasters

Join us for a guided coffee tasting led by local favourite Altitude Coffee Roasters. Learn about coffee roasting, flavour profiles, and tasting notes while sampling a variety of coffees. This is a Seniors @BPL event. Registration opens on March 8.

Alzheimer Society Social Café

The Alzheimer Society’s Social Café is a welcoming space offered weekly where persons living with dementia and their care partners can socialize, build support networks and enjoy dementia friendly activities together. Please call 1-800-565-4614 ext. 421 to register. Once registered, you can drop in as many times as you like.
