St. Paul Adult Craft Series - Autumn Leaf Bowl

September 10 - Painting Birch Trees: Learn a no-brush watercolour technique. Registration begins August 15.

October 16 - Squeegee Painting: Experiment with acrylics and unusual tools. Registration begins September 11.

November 21 - Autumn Leaf Bowl: Create a decorative bowl out of leaves. Registration begins October 16.

December 5 - Mason Jar Candle Holder: Create a sparking centrepiece for winter! Registration begins November 13.  

Separate registration is required for each program.

Book a Librarian

Our Book a Librarian program provides you with one hour of one-on-one help from Library staff. During this session, our staff can help you with:

  • Using the Internet
  • Using online databases
  • Accessing our digital collection and online tools
  • Searching and using our online catalogue
  • Finding books
  • Research tips Introduction to family history resources

One-on-one sessions will be held at our Main Branch. Note:  Library staff is unable to assist with troubleshooting personal computers/laptops, installing software, typing documents and forms, and making online purchases.

The Library’s LinkedIn Learning service offers free online courses on a variety of tech topics, including iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets. On our Research and Learning page, you can sign in for free with your library card and PIN.

Teen Drop-In

Dive into creativity at this program designed just for teens! Explore art projects and get hands-on access to Maker technologies in our new Youth Space. Activities will include Perler beading, Sphero robots, 3D design, and simple sewing machine project. No registration is required.

Book Buddies (Grades 2 - 6)

Struggling readers, Grades 2 to 6, will be paired with a university student volunteer from the Laurier Students for Literacy Club to work on reading, writing, and worksheets.The program will run Monday to Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Main Branch. The fall session of Book Buddies begins on October 1 and ends on November 28. Please note there will be a break in Laurier Students for Literacy programming from October 14 to October 17. Programming resumes on October 21. Email lsflclub@gmail.com to register.

Homework Help (Grades 3 - 8)
