Bell City Strum Club

2:30 PM | 173 Colborne Street

Bring your ukulele and join us twice a month for 90 minutes of music, song, and fun! This group is for beginners (age 16+), and no previous experience with the ukulele is needed.

Registration is not required, but new members should email Robin at rharding@brantfordlibrary.ca to introduce themselves and for a brief orientation. A limited number of ukuleles and music stands will be available to borrow.

About our instructors:

Catherine Gorecki and Genevieve Rochette have been playing and teaching together for over a decade.  They led the Dufferin Ukulele Ensemble at Ecole Dufferin School, performing at the Kiwanis festival and on the Sanderson Centre Stage. In March 2023 they travelled together to Banos, Ecuador, completing a long-awaited project to teach ESL through singing and playing ukulele at the St. George Centro de Nivelacion.  Both Gen and Catherine trained under the James Hill’s Ukulele in the Classroom series, Level 3. They teach private lessons at home for students of all ages.

Members of the Bell City Strummers will also be available to assist.
