Book a Librarian

Our Book a Librarian program provides you with one hour of one-on-one help from Library staff. During this session, our staff can help you with:

  • Using the Internet
  • Using online databases
  • Accessing our digital collection and online tools
  • Searching and using our online catalogue
  • Finding books
  • Research tips Introduction to family history resources

One-on-one sessions will be held at our Main Branch. Note:  Library staff is unable to assist with troubleshooting personal computers/laptops, installing software, typing documents and forms, and making online purchases.

The Library’s LinkedIn Learning service offers free online courses on a variety of tech topics, including iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets. On our Research and Learning page, you can sign in for free with your library card and PIN.

Sensory Storytime

Sensory Storytime is a welcoming, inclusive program for children ages 0–6 who enjoy movement, a calmer space, and sensory play. Families will enjoy interactive stories, songs, and movement activities in a small-group setting.
 
Registration is required for each session. To register, email kthomas@brantfordlibrary.ca beginning January 5. All abilities are welcome!

A Day at the Circus: A Drag Story Adventure

Join us for this original big top production by Big Cityyy Arts! This interactive circus story adventure will be fun and entertaining for the entire family, so don't miss out! This event is presented in partnership with The Bridge and Brantford Pride.

This program is for children. Adults in attendance must be accompanying a participating child. Registration is required.

Registration opens on March 2.

Frozen Party

Calling all Frozen fans! We’re having a Frozen-themed party, and everyone is welcome. Our party will have music, crafts, and fun Frozen-themed activities in celebration of the beloved movies.  This is a drop-in event. 

(Our favourite snowman, Olaf, will be joining us for a meet & greet photo opportunity, with three registration time slots: 10:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., or 11:00 a.m. Meet-and-greet registration opens on March 2nd. Register each child for the requested time slot. Ages 0 - 12 years old.)
