What happens when you take an award-nominated short story, a grant for a crew of seniors to make a horror film, and a director with both YTV and film festivals on his résumé? Join us for a special screening of The Rug with veteran Canadian writer Edo Van Belkom (Wolf Pack). He'll share insights, anecdotes, and advice from years of experience as a published author who has adapted his work for the screen. Age 16+

The Fall Prevention Program offers group education and exercise classes to community members 55+ who wish to increase their knowledge of fall prevention and improve their physical fitness, regardless of current physical ability.
This program is presented by VON, in partnership with Aboriginal Health Centre.

In this one-hour presentation, participants will gain insights into benefits, tax credits, and services offered by the CRA.
Covered topics range from benefit and credit payments to protecting against scams, with a focus on optimizing tax benefits, managing tax affairs effectively, and safeguarding against fraud through utilizing services like My Account and direct deposit. Additional discussions include authorizing a representative for tax matters, posthumous tax affairs, and handling uncashed CRA cheques.
Presented by a Service Canada and a Canada Revenue Agency representative.
