Join us for a weekly adult drop-in program every Friday afternoon at the Main branch from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. designed to link people to community resources and provide a helping hand.
Community organizations will attend when available. There will be coffee, snacks, and conversation.

Our Book a Librarian program provides you with one hour of one-on-one help from Library staff. During this session, our staff can help you with:
- Using the Internet
- Using online databases
- Accessing our digital collection and online tools
- Searching and using our online catalogue
- Finding books
- Research tips Introduction to family history resources
One-on-one sessions will be held at our Main Branch. Note: Library staff is unable to assist with troubleshooting personal computers/laptops, installing software, typing documents and forms, and making online purchases.
The Library’s LinkedIn Learning service offers free online courses on a variety of tech topics, including iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets. On our Research and Learning page, you can sign in for free with your library card and PIN.

Tune your ukulele and join us twice a month for 90 minutes of music, song, and fun! Everyone 16+ is welcome.
This group starts with beginner-level material and more advanced players will enjoy opportunities for harmony or solos. No matter how much (or how little) experience you have, you’ll build your skills and a repertoire for playing and performance.
Registration is not required, but new members should email Robin at rharding@brantfordlibrary.ca to introduce themselves and for a brief orientation. A limited number of ukuleles and music stands will be available to borrow.
About Catherine and Genevieve: Catherine Gorecki and Genevieve Rochette have been playing and teaching together for over a decade. They led the Dufferin Ukulele Ensemble at Ecole Dufferin School, performing at the Kiwanis festival and on the Sanderson Centre Stage. In March 2023, they traveled together to Banos, Ecuador, completing a long-awaited project to teach ESL through singing and playing ukulele at the St. George Centro de Nivelacion. Gen and Catherine have both trained with James Hill’s Ukulele in the Classroom series, Level 3. They teach private lessons at home for students of all ages.

Join us every Monday for in-person rhymes, sensory development activities, motor skill methods, stories, and socializing among babies and caregivers. Books from our collection will be carefully selected with a particular theme and are available for borrowing. Ages 0 – 18 months.

For elementary school students in Grades 2-8, please join Laurier Students for Literacy at the Main Branch from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday for 1:1 tutoring help, including reading and writing support.
Winter programs run from January 27th - April 3rd. There are no regular programs during Reading Week (February 17th-21st).

Please be aware that 1:1 tutoring programs are popular, and registration is very limited. Registration is run on a first-come-first-served basis.
