Laurier Students for Literacy’s French Reading Club meets weekly on Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at the Main Branch. It is designed for children attending French Immersion schools in grades 2 - 8 to develop their French literacy skills.
For Winter 2026, we will divide the students into smaller groups based on proficiency level to better meet their learning needs. The winter program runs from January 29 to April 2. There is no program during Reading Week (February 16 - 20).
Registration opens January 2 at 8:00 a.m. To register, email lsflclub@gmail.com or visit their Facebook Page: Laurier Students for Literacy Brantford. Registration is run on a first-come, first-served basis.

Our Book a Librarian program provides you with one hour of one-on-one help from Library staff. During this session, our staff can help you with:
- Using the Internet
- Using online databases
- Accessing our digital collection and online tools
- Searching and using our online catalogue
- Finding books
- Research tips Introduction to family history resources
One-on-one sessions will be held at our Main Branch. Note: Library staff is unable to assist with troubleshooting personal computers/laptops, installing software, typing documents and forms, and making online purchases.
The Library’s LinkedIn Learning service offers free online courses on a variety of tech topics, including iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets. On our Research and Learning page, you can sign in for free with your library card and PIN.

Laurier Students for Literacy invites you and your favourite teddy bear (or other stuffed friend) to join us for a Teddy Bear Picnic! We will be reading stories about teddy bears, completing a scavenger hunt, and doing a craft!
