Event Details:

Service Canada, in partnership with Brantford Immigration Partnership (BIP), is offering Social Insurance Number (SIN) card clinics for newcomers to Brantford. SIN cards are required to work in Canada and it is the responsibility of all newcomers to apply for a SIN card. Representatives from Brantford Public Library, Service Canada and St. Leonard’s Community Services, will provide helpful information on additional services available for newcomers.

Mandatory documents to bring with you include:

1. An original valid primary identity document that proves your identity and your legal status in Canada, such as: A Permanent Resident Card or a Confirmation of Permanent Residence, a work or study permit issued by the IRCC, or a diplomatic identity card issued by Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development.

2. An original valid secondary document to confirm your identity, such as a passport or a provincial or territorial identification issued by a Canadian Government (federal, provincial or territorial).
