Storytime at St. Paul

In this weekly storytime hosted every Wednesday, preschoolers will develop a love for reading by learning easy rhymes, repeating phrases, exploring story props, and strengthening comprehension, together! Books from our collection will be carefully selected to help bring the learning home.

 

Ages 18 months to 4 years. This is a drop-in program.

Preschoolers ages 3-5, will enjoy this 6-week-long, kindergarten readiness program, with a focus on social skills and independence! The weekly program's length is 45 minutes.

Parents & caregivers must remain in the Library while children participate independently in the program. 3-5 years old and must be entering kindergarten (JK or SK) in September 2026.

Register ONCE for this 6-week session. Registration opens on January 7.

Alzheimer Society Social Café

The Alzheimer Society’s Social Café is a welcoming space offered weekly where persons living with dementia and their care partners can socialize, build support networks and enjoy dementia friendly activities together. Please call 1-800-565-4614 ext. 421 to register.

Once registered, you can drop in as many times as you like.

Book a Librarian

Our Book a Librarian program provides you with one hour of one-on-one help from Library staff. During this session, our staff can help you with:

  • Using the Internet
  • Using online databases
  • Accessing our digital collection and online tools
  • Searching and using our online catalogue
  • Finding books
  • Research tips Introduction to family history resources

One-on-one sessions will be held at our Main Branch. Note:  Library staff is unable to assist with troubleshooting personal computers/laptops, installing software, typing documents and forms, and making online purchases.

The Library’s LinkedIn Learning service offers free online courses on a variety of tech topics, including iPhones, iPads, and Android phones and tablets. On our Research and Learning page, you can sign in for free with your library card and PIN.

A Place to Be

Drop in for snacks and DIY activities of your choice. A partnership with Community Living Brant.

Join us for an evening of art, lived experience, and community connection as we honour and celebrate Black joy and excellence.

Featuring an art showcase, keynote speaker, creative activities, and light snacks and refreshments. The keynote speaker is Dr. Kathy Hogarth, Associate Vice President, Global Strategy, Wilfrid Laurier University.

5 - 5:30 p.m. - Open House

5:30 - 6:00 p.m. - Keynote address

6:00 p.m - 6:30 p.m. Break for refreshments and connection

In collaboration with Brant Community Healthcare System, Brantford Brant Norfolk Ontario Health Team, Woodview Mental Health and Autism Services, Canadian Mental Health Association, City of Brantford, and Brantford Public Library.
