Join us at the Main Branch for a preview performance by musical artists from the collective, Kuné.
Kuné is an eleven-piece collective made up of ten immigrant musicians from all over the world and one Metis-Canadian. Their sound captures the experience of living in Toronto, the world’s most diverse city. Through music, they remember where they came from and envision a pluralistic future. On stage, Kuné (which means together in Esperanto) fuses 11 musical traditions and 11 instruments into an ear-spinning confection of leaping melodies and luscious timbres. Since the release of their new album Universal Echoes (2023), they have presented several concerts in major Canadian festivals

The Bell City Strum Club is a free community group for adults interested in playing ukulele and singing as a group. Beginners are welcome; no previous experience with the ukulele is required. At each gathering we’ll take the time to teach chords and strumming techniques, moving forward at a pace that allows everyone to feel confident. Members of the Bell City Strummers will be available to assist.
The BCSC meets twice a month for 90 minutes. Registration is not required, but new members should email Robin at rharding@brantfordlibrary.ca to introduce themselves and for a brief orientation. A limited number of ukuleles and music stands are available to borrow.
