Storm Chasing in Ontario - Online Presentation - This event has already occurred

Event Details:

Experience the entire life cycle of thunderstorms with this exciting and educational presentation by storm chaser David Chapman. He'll show how they form and then develop into powerful windstorms -- with some of them close enough to home that you may recognize the location! Together we'll follow a supercell tornado from start to finish as it cuts a path through the Ontario countryside, and see the power and impact of these powerful storms. Registration begins Friday, August 20.

About David T. Chapman:
When David was very young he learned how to appreciate his surrounding environment from his father. By age 16 he embraced both photography and storm chasing as a foundation for his future profession of public speaker and educator. He enjoys taking photographs and videos of weather phenomena (especially lightning) and seeking out unusual examples of nature, including inferior mirages, albino birds, ice caves and various types of naturally created vortexes. David is always on the lookout for multi-petalled Ontario trilliums, and to date the highest count he has confirmed personally is 33 petals.
