Canada Connects provides newcomers with informal support, helping them enhance their spoken language skills. Volunteer facilitators organize conversation circles along specific social themes that are discussed in each session.
These conversation groups provide newcomers and volunteers the opportunity to meet other newcomers, share experiences, socialize, and make new friends. This program is designed for newcomers to Canada who are 18 years of age or older.
A partnership of YMCA Immigrant Services – YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford and Brantford Public Library, supported by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Call 519-752-4568 ext. 3645 for information.
