Come write a story at this fun and hands-on writing workshop for kids! Award-winning author Lana Button will use examples from her 17 published children's books to share tips and tricks for coming up with story ideas. Bring a pencil and some paper, and your imagination, and Lana will share how to create fun characters, and how to get a story from 'problem' to 'solution'!
Ages 8-12.
This is a registered program. Registration opens on August 12th.

Have you ever wanted to try making a video game yourself? This workshop is open to families who want to learn how; no prior coding experience is needed!
Participants will first learn how to plan out a branching story and then turn what they’ve written into a text adventure game with the free online tool Twine. Please bring a USB drive to save games and play at home.
Maximum of four family members per group. Registration opens on August 13th.
