Preschoolers can get creative with stories, songs and a craft! Ages 0 - 6.

Come join EarlyON facilitators for a free play and inquiry-based drop-in program. Open to children up to age six, with their caregivers.

Struggling readers, Grades 2 to 6, will be paired with a university student volunteer from the Laurier Students for Literacy Club to work on reading, writing, and worksheets.The program will run Monday to Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Main Branch. The fall session of Book Buddies begins on October 1 and ends on November 28. Please note there will be a break in Laurier Students for Literacy programming from October 14 to October 17. Programming resumes on October 21. Email lsflclub@gmail.com to register.

Students in Grades 3 through 8 will be paired with a university student volunteer from the Laurier Students for Literacy Club for assistance with any subject. Students in Grades 7 and 8 will meet once a week to read a novel and participate in comprehension activities. Students will be matched into a small group based on reading level.  The program will run online via Zoom on Tuesdays and in person at the Main Branch on Thursdays. The fall session of Reading Club begins on October 1 and ends on November 28. It’s almost time to write your letter to Santa Claus! Join us at both Library branches to write your letter, decorate your envelope, and drop it in Santa’s Mailbox!

Our Library staff will collect all the letters and mail them directly to the North Pole. Letter-writing materials will be available as supplies last.  

This is a Canada Post program. You may also participate on your own using Canada Post’s online instructions. 

Join us every Monday for in-person rhymes, sensory development activities, motor skill methods, stories, and socializing among babies and caregivers. Books from our collection will be carefully selected with a particular theme and are available for borrowing.   Ages 0 – 18 months.
